Hi!
I’m Anton, a photographer and visual artist, working and living between Paris, Barcelona, and Bangkok. Photography has been a part of my life for many years — it’s my way to explore the world and connect with people.

I studied with masters of classical photography, learned poses from sculptures at the Hermitage, and studied light through Renaissance paintings.
Anton Usanov
PHOTOGRAPHER, VISUAL ARTIST
MY APPROACH:
I shoot in a way that lets you feel like yourself — no outdated, exhausting posing, and I won’t even ask you to “smile” :-)

Most of the time, my work is about placing you in a beautiful setting, working with composition and natural light. I love adding touches of fashion and glamour to the everyday, and I often use direct flash — it creates an instant WOW effect.

It’s not about forcing you to pose or grin. It’s about keeping you authentic, but inside a slightly more cinematic reality I create. I direct the frame, set the mood, and guide the details — from a look to a hand gesture — so everything feels aesthetic and fresh.

A SHOOT IS MORE THAN JUST A PHOTO
For over 7 years I’ve been asking people, and I’ve realized that behind the wish for “new photos” there are often deeper and more important desires.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q:
What do I need to prepare for the shoot?
A:
In my most popular format, StreetStyle Light, preparation is minimal. We discuss your look in advance, and usually, it’s enough to choose clothes from your own wardrobe. If you’d like, I can recommend a stylist.

If you choose the Creative Medium format, I handle the full coordination: from discussing mood and styling details to creating the concept. If needed, a stylist, makeup artist, or other specialists can join (paid separately).
Q:
I’ve never posed before. Will I manage?
A:
Yes. Most of the people I shoot are not models, and many come for their very first photo session with me. I build the frame through light and composition, so the poses are very simple — sometimes it’s enough just to stand still or move slightly.

I guide you through everything, taking control like a director. You don’t need to force emotions, “be yourself,” or try to smile — you just relax, and I create the beautiful shots.
Q:
Will I get all the raw files?
A:
I believe that photo selection is one of the most important parts of a photographer’s work — it defines the final result. That’s why I deliver 10–15 carefully selected images with color correction — a finished series.

In addition, you’ll receive a folder with all other good shots in JPEG without editing. This way, you get both my artistic selection and the full material to use as you like.

The story of one shoot
Lera came with two requests: “to see herself differently” and “to have a fun experience.”

I love both of these — I always try to give people a new perspective, something they don’t fully expect. That’s why the series has both classic street portraits and bold flash shots in a parking lot.

As for having fun — absolutely! A shoot with me is an adventure, exploring the hidden, unexpected side of even the most familiar places. Not the touristy, but the poetic Barcelona.

“Look, the light falls beautifully here on a centuries-old wall — stand there!”
“There are musicians playing — let’s capture the vibe, hop on that bench!”
(And if we see a fence — chances are, we’ll climb it.)
“What should I do in the frame?” Just stand — I’ll take care of the rest.

The parking lot shots happened spontaneously. Lera needed to change in the car, and we turned that moment into a glamorous underground scene with a few direct-flash shots.

P.S. One of my favorite frames is where the windows reflect on the building. Sometimes you walk and see something beautiful — but you can’t quite capture it. During these shoots, we have the unique chance to catch those fleeting moments and create images that are more than photos — a performance with you at the center.
